Beach Road (from Moyne\/Beach Road junction) A total of 6 LED\u2019S STREETLIGHTS were<br \/>\nreplaced and this section currently brightly lit.<br \/>\nII. Links Road (from Hass Petroleum to Mamba Roundabout) 2 LED\u2019s with broken cables<br \/>\nreplaced &amp; reconnected. An additional LED was also installed, all 5 LED\u2019s on this<br \/>\nsection currently working.<br \/>\nIII. Links Road (from Amal Plaza to Crossroads Church) 3 LED\u2019s replaced, all 6 LED\u2019s on this<br \/>\nsection currently working.<br \/>\nIV. Links Road (from Crossroads Church to Mt. Kenya\/Links Road junction) 15 LED\u2019s<br \/>\nrepaired and all are currently working.<br \/>\nV. Mvita Road<br \/>\nWe are aware of pending street lights in various parts of North Coast and these concerns have<br \/>\nbeen shared with the relevant departments. Some of the areas are: near Mamba Roundabout<br \/>\non Links Road, Mama Ngina Road and Beach Road (between Hare Krishna Mosque and<br \/>\nMamba Roundabout).<br \/>\nBackfilling and restoration of Mama Ngina Road (before Jomo Kenyatta Junction) completed.<br \/>\nPending areas awaiting fittings include Park Lane\/Mvita Junction, Park Lane\/Greenwood Drive<br \/>\njunction.<br \/>\nWe are happy to note with satisfaction that residents of Cement Road were recently<br \/>\nconnected with water. New piping was done MOWASSCO contractor which ended many years<br \/>\nof suffering by residents.<br \/>\nWere in constant communication with MOWASSCO to have areas with leakages addressed;<br \/>\nhowever, they\u2019re heavily challenged in acquisition of fittings and spares.<br \/>\nJamhuri and Coral Drive water supply is troubled by low pressure experienced. However,<br \/>\nMOWASSCO is looking into it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>COURTESY CALLS<\/strong><br \/>\nNational Construction Authority \u2013 Shimanzi<br \/>\nRegarding the increased developments around Old Nyali, NCA informed they only come in to<br \/>\nenforce compliance and regulations whereas CGM Planning &amp; Physical Dept. is mandated to<br \/>\napprove developmental projects and control.<br \/>\nNCRRA were requested to actively engage CGM and other relevant stakeholders so as to<br \/>\nachieve developmental control in Nyali.<br \/>\nCGM Department of Transport, Infrastructure &amp; Public Works \u2013 Shimanzi<br \/>\nThe terrible state of roads in Nyali was discussed in length and CGM committed to have all<br \/>\nincomplete roads i.e Nyoka Road completed in the new financial year. They had earlier been<br \/>\nchallenged by lack of funds and resources, loss of revenue occasioned by COVID also meant<br \/>\nno new projects would have been launched.<br \/>\nAmong the roads that would be resurfaced are Greenwood Drive, Ziwani Road which had<br \/>\nalready been surveyed for the purpose. Hon. Chairman met and spoke with the Gym Manager on<br \/>\nJomo Kenyatta who agreed to tone down the volume levels experienced early mornings but<br \/>\nhas now resorted to playing loud music in the evenings esp. Thursdays. A letter to NEMA &amp; CGM will be sent out to address the noise issue from the Gym and Bars\/Restaurants.<br \/>\nNoise from Mosques will also be addressed through the leadership structures in place such<br \/>\nas SUPKEM.
